Reducing building-wide inefficiencies with circuit-level energy monitoring

This multi-service provider needed granular insight into its energy consumption at a device level across eight filling stations.

Challenge: A 2.48 million square foot multi-tenant office property in Chicago was searching for ways to uncover energy efficiencies after its annual energy use exceeded 40m kWh.

Solution: Deploying wireless sensors and communication bridges, establishing HVAC data integration protocols and setting up energy monitoring dashboards
allowed the customer to identify several key issues, including unnecessary heating during unoccupied hours and simultaneous heating and cooling in summer months. The PowerRadar™ mobile application notified the site’s engineering team of anomalies and revealed up-to-date performance data.
